HEB has Slim Fast Bars for 85¢. A coupon is out for $1 off here. Make sure to grab an extra item to cover the left over money between the price of the bars and the discount from the coupon. I would suggest grabbing a banana. You come out paying a few pennies for a Slim Fast Bar and a yum-yum banana.

This week, Walgreens has OxiClean Max Force Power Paks 10 pack on sale for $2.50. If you go here you can print a coupon for $2.00 off. You are able to print out two coupons. This makes them 50¢ a piece.

Some Target stores enforce a one Target coupon per transaction policy, others do not.

Its that time again! Time for amazing deals on school supplies. The competition around Austin has gotten heated due to the recent addition of Staples to the areas Office Supply store lineup.

I would like to remind everyone that Target and Walmart DO price match local ads. If you do not feel up to stopping at OfficeMax, Office Depot, and Staples to complete your school purchases, just stop at either Target or Walmart with the printed ads and make your purchases stress free!

Also, Office Depot and Office Max do accept competitor coupons so the 15% off Staples coupon can be used for your purchases at those stores.

Some of the Staples promos this week depend on getting back a rebate. From experience, Staples rebate program has to be one of the easiest rebate programs around. You simply take your receipt and enter the information on Staples Easy Rebates page. You receive email confirmation when the rebate is received and processed and sent out. How much easier could a rebate be?

On the way back from the restroom at Lowe’s last night (of course it is aaaaallllllll the way in the back of the store), we passed through the Appliances department. Sitting on top of one of the fancy washers was a sign that said “Free Samples” in front of a stack of boxes. I, of course, grabbed three. At checkout, the cashier said “Limit 1 per Customer”. Since it was me AND my husband, I handed back one and kept the other two.

After getting home and opening the packaging, I found out why the cashier was enforcing the “One per Customer” policy. There were three coupons inside, two $2.00 off any Tide Detergent and one $5.00 off any Tide HE Detergent.

From what I have heard, you can combine Lowe’s coupons with manufacturer coupons. Could make for some interesting prices on Tide.

Lowe’s also has a printable coupon site here

As some of you may know, July was a big month for us. After more than two years of prayer, God blessed us with a new home and we moved to North West Austin.   Thursday I received a Community Impact magazine in the mail. I would have to describe the receipt of this magazine as a Divine Delivery because as of lately I have been praying with focus on a few specific things.

One of those focuses has been finding a new church. After several years of attending church at Calvary Chapel in Pflugerville, I decided to leave.  Another focus has been on my health. I lost 25 lbs this year, but I still have a long way to go. At the back of the Community Impact magazine was an ad for “Body by God” taught by Dr. Jeff Gancas. The classes are held at CrossPointe Church starting Aug 4- Aug 25 from 6:30pm-8pm. The cost is only $25 and it includes the Body By God book and a T-shirt. CHILD CARE IS PROVIDED!

I decided to check out the church Sunday and I must say, I thought the people there were genuinely friendly and Mireya loved the children’s ministry. She said she liked her “little church and that she learned about God”. While we were there, I got a chance to meet Dr. Gancas and his wife. Nice folks! We will be going back this Sunday.

I am excited about the class and I am interested to see what I can learn from the program. I have read some reviews from the book and other programs and they all seem pretty positive. I’ll keep you posted about the how the class is going and any interesting information.

If you are interesting in signing up, take a look at the flyer or call 512-345-7400 for info.

**I am NOT receiving any compensation for this “promotion” of the class. I just thought it might interest some of you.

Over the past week I have seen at several Wags in the Austin area clearance bottles of Wisk for $5.19.  These are not the little bottle of  Wisk, these are the gigantoid 74 load bottles.  I found a $1 off coupon here just click on the “Try Wisk HE” tab and click “Download Coupon”. You are able to print two coupons. For those trying to save ink, the ad prints at the bottom.

To be honest, I have only been to Quiznos once in my life since they opened in Austin around 1995. But what are coupons supposed to do? Get new customers to the store and this $2.99 meal deal coupon did just that. For $2.99 plus tax I got a California Club Sub, chips, and a drink.

One of the items I thought would be great for the care packages was wipes. Thanks to those lovely yellow coupons at HEB, I was able to accumulate 14 travel packages of Seventh Generation baby wipes 36ct. The coupon was for 1.50 off ANY package of Seventh Generation baby wipes. The travel packs were 2.48 – the coupon came out to .98 a pack. Due to a coupon glitch, I actually on paid about $4 for all 14 packages.
